Honey

Using honey:
  • In baked goods, use 1/2 as much honey as you would sugar. Reduce liquid. Lower temperature slightly.
  • If honey crystalizes, heat  slowly by placing honey jar in a sauce pan of hot water. Turn heat to low and warm until honey melts.
  • Honey is good on pancakes, ice cream, hot biscuits.  Mix up honey butter for your bread or pancakes. 2 sticks of butter, softened, 3/4 c. honey.  Whip the butter until soft, 3-5 minutes, then add the honey and whip until light and fluffy. Delicious!
