Myrtis's Apple Pie


1 Pastry Shell set aside

1 2/3 cups dried apple slices

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 tsp salt

½ tsp nutmeg

2 ½ cups water

2 tbsp corn starch

1 tsp cinnamon

3 tsp lemon juice

Prepare pastry. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 min. Pour into pastry lined pie pan. Cover with remaining pastry. Bake at 425 degrees for 35-40 min. until lightly browned
