Bean burgers

1 can or 2-3 c. cooked beans: black beans, kidney beans or pinto beans
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 t. garlic powder
1 t. sage
2 T. flour
1/2 t. season salt
pepper to taste
2 T. oil
In a large bowl mash beans, stir in onion, flour and spices.
Form patties about 1/2 inch thick. Fry in oil, turning to brown both sides.
Serve with whole grain bread or buns, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard etc.
